Donald S. Cohen, MD

Radiologist, Saul & Joyce Brandman Breast Center

Donald S. Cohen, MD is Chief of the Mammography Section at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center and a radiologist at the Saul & Joyce Brandman Breast Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Cohen has special expertise in mammography and cross-sectional imaging, particularly magnetic resonance imaging.

Dr. Cohen is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is licensed in New York, New Jersey and California. He has read thousands of mammograms and has extensive experience in performing all breast procedures, including localizations, biopsies and galactography.

Before coming to California, Dr. Cohen was the medical director of the Park Avenue Computerized Tomography and Ultrasound Group in Manhattan. In California, he continued his formal post-graduate education and is one of the first radiologists to complete a one-year fellowship in MRI. He has also completed courses given by Tabar, Parker and many sponsored by the University of California, San Francisco, and Stanford University.

He received a medical degree from the State University of New York and completed a radiology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He also completed a formal visiting fellowship in mammography at the University of Washington.
