Alexander Hao Fan, MD

Associate Director, Inpatient Psychiatry Services

Alexander Hao Fan, MD is Associate Director of Inpatient Psychiatry Services in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Cedars-Sinai.

Dr. Fan's research interests include mood disorders, personality disorders and eating disorders.

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Fan is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Fan received his bachelor's degree with distinction from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He completed an internship and a residency in psychiatry at New York City's Mount Sinai Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident of the Adult Psychiatry Clinic. Dr. Fan fulfilled a clinical fellowship in university mental health at Yale University and a research fellowship in mood disorders at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Neuropsychiatric Institute.
