
Jennifer G. Gotto, MD is Director of Consultation-Liaison Services in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Cedars-Sinai.
Dr. Gotto's research interests include the psychological impact and recovery from trauma, cancer therapy, heart transplantation, and the treatment of anxiety and depression in the medically ill.
A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Gotto is a member of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine and the American Psychiatric Association. She has written articles for the peer-reviewed publications American Journal of Psychiatry, Depression, Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings and Psychosomatic Medicine.
Dr. Gotto received her bachelor's degree from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After a residency and an internship in psychiatry at Baylor, she completed a fellowship in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute and a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston.
