Frank Litvack, MD

Interventional Cardiologist

Frank Litvack, MD served as Co-Director of the Cardiovascular Intervention Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 1986 to 2000. Throughout his career, he has focused on interventional cardiology, both in its clinical and research aspects. He is currently Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Litvack has written more than 200 publications, abstracts and book chapters covering broad areas of interventional cardiology research. He has been involved in developing a number of innovative medical devices, including angioscopy, laser angioplasty, stents, brachytherapy and local drug delivery devices. His clinical expertise is primarily focused on coronary and valvular heart disease.

Dr. Litvack completed his medical school and internal medicine residency at McGill University in Montreal. He completed his cardiovascular scholarship at Cedars-Sinai and joined the Medical Center's staff in 1985.
