David W. Scott, PhD

Psychologist

David Scott, PhD is a clinical psychologist at The Pain Center. He is a specialist in behavioral medicine and health psychology, with particular interests in treating pain, anxiety and sleep disorders. He is experienced in providing cognitive-behavioral therapy, medical psychotherapy, biofeedback, and pre-surgical evaluation and treatment.

Prior to joining The Pain Center, Dr. Scott served as a staff psychologist for pain management and behavioral medicine programs at St. Jude Medical Center, Valley Presbyterian Hospital and Beverly Hills Medical Center. He has been published in the field of pain management and has presented lectures to a variety of professional and patient organizations. He is member of the American Pain Society, American Psychological Association and the International Association for the Study of Pain.

Dr. Scott received his bachelor's degree in psychology from California State University, Northridge. He earned his master's degree and doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.
