The Medical Library offers the resources of a large clinical library with the personalized service of a small information center. Personal computers offering Internet access and Microsoft's Office suite of programs are available to individuals with a Cedars-Sinai badge. Library staff members answer reference questions, provide literature searches, teach Medline and Internet classes and assist patrons in finding information and borrowing materials. Photocopiers and interlibrary loan services are available. Registered users may access library information and electronic resources on the Cedars-Sinai Intranet or through the proxy server.
The Medical Library is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and closed Saturday and Sunday.
The Medical Library's resources are complemented by the collection at the nearby UCLA Louise Darling Biomedical Library. Located seven miles from Cedars-Sinai, UCLA's Biomedical Library is open to the public seven days a week.
