Albert Katz, MD, practices internal medicine with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group.

Dr. Katz earned his medical doctorate and his bachelor's degree at the University of Southern California. He completed his internship and residency at Cedars of Lebanon, Los Angeles (now Cedars-Sinai Medical Center). He completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1961. Before joining Cedars-Sinai Medical Group in 1998, Dr. Katz was in private practice.

Dr. Katz is an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has been a member of the Medical Advisory Committee, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; a member of the Medical Executive Committee, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; the chief, division of rheumatology, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; the chief of staff, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; a member of the Medical and Scientific Committee, Arthritis Foundation; the president, Southern California Rheumatism Society; and the program chairman, Southern California Rheumatism Society.

Dr. Katz is a member of the American Society of Internal Medicine, American Medical Association, Los Angeles County Medical Association and American Rheumatism Association.
