Jing Zhai, MD, PhD

Cytopathology; Gastrointestinal Pathology; Gynecologic Pathology

Jing Zhai, MD, PhD is an anatomic pathologist in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is a specialist in cytopathology and gastrointestinal and gynecologic pathology.

Dr. Zhai's primary interests are in cytopathology. She has authored a number of peer-reviewed scientific papers in this field and has presented abstracts at national meetings, most recently focusing on cytopathologic lesions of the gastrointestinal tract and breast. Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology, Dr. Zhai is an active member of many cytopathology organizations.

Dr. Zhai received her medical degree from Beijing Medical University, Beijing, P. R. of China and her doctorate in pharmacology from the University of Cincinnati. She completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology followed by a fellowship in cytopathology, both at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
