Kirk Y. Chang, MD

Cardiologist, Division of Cardiology

Kirk Y. Chang, MD is a staff cardiologist with the Division of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His professional interests include cardiac catheterization, primary prevention of coronary disease, and cardiac transplantation.

Dr. Chang actively participates in continuing medical education and applies the latest advances and techniques of treatment in day-to-day care of his patients. He has been involved in multiple research projects, and is the author on numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented his work at national meetings around the country. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology.


Dr. Chang attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated with honors from the Biochemistry department. He attended medical school at the University of Southern California, where he graduated with Highest Distinction and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Chang completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, where he was chosen to serve an additional year as Chief Medical Resident. He returned to California for his cardiology fellowship at the combined West Los Angeles VA Medical Center/Olive View Medical Center program (UCLA affiliate). He was elected Chief Cardiology Fellow for the combined program.
