

Roxy Szeftel, MD is Director of Child Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry Training in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Cedars-Sinai.
Dr. Szeftel's clinical and research interests include developmental disabilities and psychiatric education. She was successful at creating and implementing the Telepsychiatry Developmental Disabilities Service, which brings Cedars-Sinai child psychiatric expertise to children in rural areas throughout California who would otherwise remain untreated.
Dr. Szeftel received her bachelor's degree from Harvard College and her medical degree from Dalhousie Medical School in Nova Scotia, Canada. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and her residency in child psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Neuropsychiatric Institute. She also completed training in forensic psychiatry at UCLA Sepulveda Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
