David P. Frishberg, MD

David P. Frishberg, MD is Director of Surgical Pathology and Dermatopathology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai. He is also a pathologist at the Cedars-Sinai Thyroid Cancer Center.
Dr. Frishberg has been active in medical education, having authored more than 20 continuing medical education articles for the College of American Pathologists. He has been actively involved in surgical pathology issues and a digital dermatopathology program with this organization. He has a number of peer-reviewed scientific articles.
Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology Dr. Frishberg also holds special qualification in dermatopathology. He is an active member of several national organizations related to surgical pathology and dermatopathology.
Dr. Frishberg received his medical degree from M.D. George Washington University, Washington, DC. He completed an internship in general surgery and pathology residency at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. This was followed by a year as chief resident in pathology at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC.
